For this class, you will be required to write at least three 200-word posts on your blog each week. Almost always, the subject matter of these posts will be up to you. Making sure that you post frequently will also be up to you. You don't need to write on the days we have class; if you want to write three posts each Saturday, or three each Monday, that works fine. Additionally, if you fall behind on your posts, you can catch up by writing six posts the following week and I won't deduct any points.
Occasionally, I will give you an assignment that is to be posted on your blog. These assignments count toward your number of posts that week. For example, the first week of class, I gave you two assignments that were to be posted to your blog. Those counted as two of your three posts for that week. It was up to you to craft a third post from your own ideas.
I will post the occasional prompt on our class blog that you can respond to in a post if you need an idea. Otherwise, write whatever you'd like!
In addition to doing your own writing, I'd like you to read and respond to the writing of your classmates. All of their blog addresses are linked on this page. Read their posts whenever you'd like and leave 30 comments total on several of your peers' posts. I won't count up these comments until the end of the semester, but it would be of benefit to you and your classmates if you respond throughout the semester, at a rate of one or two comments per week.
Happy writing!
